• Lead the finance function and build the financial infrastructure to provide timely and accurate management information
• Provide financial leadership to ensure the business units meet and exceed commercial targets via organic growth, franchising and entry into any new commercial ventures
• Work closely with the senior management team to ensure financial implications are considered for all important decisions, so as to maximize business returns
• Appraise all investment expenditure and regularly review investment performance
• Strategically evaluate the market, the company’s performance therein and identify opportunities to increase market share
• Assess IT strategy to support different business area’s operations and ensure IT works to help them maximize their productivity and meet their business objectives
• Lead and motivate a team of finance and IT professionals and ensure they are motivated, effectively managed and training needs are identified and addressed
• Help the finance function act as a partner to the business, supporting and participating in decision-making on investment opportunities and bids to support business strategies
• Plan and co-ordinate all treasury management practice and policy, with particular reference to funding, investment and cash control

- Graduate calibre, qualified accountant with not less than 7 years as a financial executive at a senior level with strong track record
- Technically strong in Finance and IT operations and support
- Experience acting as a strategic business partner to management, keeping abreast of the latest economic and trading environment and the latest accounting standards and disclosure requirement
- Ability to take / mitigate risk with full awareness of the impact
- Excellent finance and controls experience - able to ensure financial integrity and compliance with current and future corporate governance requirements
- Strong commercial acumen and a personality that drives this across the finance function
- A professional accountancy qualification of equivalent standard to CPA/ACCA MBA is desirable.
- Excellent communication and team skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade and the strength to make things happen
- This is a hands-on job and will require someone to be personally involved in many of the day-to-day financial issues
- Strong leadership skills with coaching ability and good team-building skills
- High level of integrity, credibility, and a solid reputation
- Positive approach to problem solving, seasoned judgment, good business instincts, well-developed sense of personal accountability
- Overseas experience is an advantage.
- Prefer candidate from retail and FMCG.
